Are You Leading from Your Soul? (Instead of a Position of Authority)

  √  Keynote (60-75 mins)
  √  Breakout (1 hr)
  √  Workshop (2-2.5 hrs)
  √  Half-Day (3.5 hrs)
  √  Full-Day (6.5 hrs)

Ever wonder how Gandhi would “motivate” an employee? How Mother Theresa might “re-engineer” the organization? How Martin Luther King, Jr. would “compete” for the future? Personal power in organizations increases when people begin leading from their souls rather than positions of authority; when leaders leverage external and internal power.

In this program, you will have an opportunity to learn about, talk about–even argue about–the conditions and consequences of six stages of personal power. You will:

  •   Discover leadership constructs that define personal impact and influence in surprising ways.
  •   Distinguish between transactional and transformational leadership.
  •   Begin to answer the question central to this program: Are you leading  from your soul?

To sustain your new understanding, you will receive a resource packet that will serve as a tangible reminder of the implications and applications
of the model long after the program has ended.

Change Your Mind, Change Your Behavior
Change Your Behavior, Change Your Mind

  √  Half-Day (3.5 hrs)
  √  Full-Day (6.5 hrs)

If you’re like most people, you have changes you would like to make in your life, ranging from work and finances to health and relationships. But often, despite years of effort, you don’t get very far. So, what’s standing in your way? A recent study showed that when doctors tell heart patients they will die if they don't change their habits, only one in seven will follow through successfully. Even when it's literally a matter of life and death, the ability to change remains dangerously elusive. In this half- or full-day class, youwill explore the most common approach to change: one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brake.

ACCELERATING
Most of the research about change focuses on the acceleration aspects: understanding the impact and dynamics of change and suggestions to get moving. In the first half of this examination of cha
nge, you will experience:

  •   Characteristics of change and transition
  •   Impact of change on individuals
  •   Four common responses to change and uncertainty

BRAKING
The second half of the class is based on the work of Harvard researchers Robert Kegan, PhD, and Lisa Laskow Lahey, EdD, who have named the brakes
we unconsciously apply as “immunity to change.”

Kegan and Laskow have designed a four-column “immunity map,” which requires a process of self-examination to identify and adjust assumptions that are
preventing movement. The class facilitators will guide you through your own mapping to reveal mindsets that stop you from making the changes you desire.

  Would You Work for You?
  Leading with Impact and Influence

  √  Keynote (60-75 mins)
  √  Breakout (60-75 mins)
  √  Workshop (2-2.5 hrs)
  √  Half-Day (3.5 hrs)

As a manager or leader, the question “Would You Work for You?” is both essential and courageous to explore.

Through activities and robust discussion, you will experience a six-stage power model that challenges the traditional beliefs that define “success” by position, money and personal recognition.

As you learn about, talk about and debate the conditions and consequences of six stages of personal power, you will:

  •   Discover leadership constructs that define personal impact and influence in surprising ways.
  •   Distinguish between transactional and transformational leadership.
  •   Begin to answer the question central to this program: Would you work for you?

To sustain your new understanding, you will receive a resource packet that will serve as a tangible reminder of the implications and applications of the power model, long after the program has ended.
